Ann Dee was born in Provo, Utah. She has eight older brothers and sisters who supposedly never made her get them ice water every ten minutes and never made her scratch their backs for a nickel an hour. She wrote a long story when she was in fifth grade. Really long. Like twenty five pages single-spaced. She entered that story in a young author’s contest. She didn’t win.In fifth grade she also had a boyfriend named Ryan*. He didn’t know he was her boyfriend and he liked a girl named Lori and they started “going together.” This was sad. Ann Dee recovered by eating many many tootsie rolls and gobstoppers. In junior high, Ann Dee had another boyfriend named Luke. Like Ryan, he also didn’t know he was her boyfriend. They were together for most of high school. When he finally found out about the relationship, they broke up.
Besides having a steady boyfriend who didn’t know he was her boyfriend, Ann Dee played soccer and basketball. She went to prom.
She still has her dress if you want to rent it.
She one time took a trip to a river and she read lots and lots and lots of books.
After high school, Ann Dee went to Brigham Young University where she studied English and had several other oblivious boyfriends.
She also was a missionary in Hong Kong. She looked really good while she was there.
When she got home, she ate a lot of cookie dough and popcorn. She also went to graduate school and decided she wanted to be a writer.
After a long time, Ann Dee met this man:
His name is Cameron.
He can break dance.
He was her first boyfriend who knew he was her boyfriend and didn’t break up with her. It was true love.
And so they were married.
He is also more street smart than Ann Dee. Sometimes Ann Dee says inappropriate things and has no idea that they are inappropriate. Her husband, on the other hand, says inappropriate things and fully knows how inappropriate they are. That’s called opposites attract.
She now has
two four five children. They are both all boys four boys with a sweet girl at the end and they like to wrestle. Ann Dee spends most of her time trying not to wrestle. She also occasionally teaches writing classes. Her first book is called This is What I Did: and it’s about a boy. Her second book is called Everything Is Fine and it’s about a girl. Her third book is called The End or Something Like That and it’s about life and death.
