8-Minute Memoir

Day 192: the view from your floor

November 3, 2017

Day 192: the view from your floor. Lay on your floor. Lie? Let people step on you. Feel the carpet or the wood or tile or rug or linoleum or concrete on your back. Remember how sad you were because your fridge stuck out so far and now you never notice. Wonder why everything seems to always be open–drawers, dishwasher, cupboards (or maybe wonder why everything is always in its right place if you are opposite of me). Notice the cobwebs and like Gifts From the Sea, see if you can see the beauty in them rather than feeling sad about them. Be curious and open and ignore all negative comments from onlookers. Then write about everything you saw and thought and felt for at least 8 minutes. Maybe post a picture from your floor looking up. Or send it to me. It will make my day. 8 minutes. #8minutememoir #giftsfromthesea
